About
Meet Emily
I am a self-taught interior designer, with formal training in the fashion industry. I earned my degree in Textile and Apparel Design from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as well as an Associates Degree in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology. I worked for over a decade in the fashion industry as a Technical Designer, working closely with garment specifications, garment production, and textiles. My keen eye for colors, knowledge of textiles, and precise understanding of proportions has aided me well in making the career shift to interior design.
I have had a passion for interior design for as long as I can remember. What began as a hobby designing my childhood bedroom blossomed into a perceptive eye for choosing colors, patterns, and key pieces to create cohesive and refined spaces. Stemming from a lifelong dream of owning my own business, Emily Eileen Interiors LLC was born.
I love mixing vintage pieces with modern design to create a lived-in look. As a mom of two boys, I always keep functionality and practicality at the forefront of every design, especially when designing for families. I am also a firm believer that you do not have to sacrifice on beauty to achieve this! When doing a renovation, I love walking into a project space and figuring out how to make it a more functional and aesthetically pleasing space for my clients. Keeping my client’s needs and wants at the forefront is paramount, and my ultimate goal is to make you fall in love with your space again.
